About Kait
I'm a 22-year-old student of history and English literature currently living in Memphis, TN. I love to practice yoga, read modernist literature, make things, garden, cook spicy vegan food, and be outside. Don't get me wrong, I also love Pinterest, Instagram, Netflix, and sweet potato fries. I'm an expert fake-online-shopper. Y'know, put copious amounts of stuff in your cart and never actually check out.
When I'm not researching in the library or practicing my hanumanasana, I'm a pretty crafty lady. Aside from paper crafts, I love to knit and crochet (badly), make candles and smelly things, and go to those places where you can paint your own coffee mugs. I used to sew, too, but that just wasn't my calling. (Ask me about the one-legged shorts debacle.)
In 2015, I'm trying to simplify my life. The last half of 2014 was a big shock to my psyche: moving halfway across the country to a place where I knew a total of 6 people (luckily, I had my six.), starting two new programs at a different uni (where I'm doing surprisingly okay), becoming vegan (still truckin' and absolutely loving it.), being without my normal support system (but learning to construct a new one)... but it was also one of the most rewarding and enriching times of my life. In a few short months I did all of that, plus I left my heart in California, and found it again in Northern Thailand. It's been a whirlwind, but unmistakably fabulous. Word on the street is, 2015 wants to give 2014 a run for its money.
